Noblesville Schools Mark Booth, Director of Student Services 1775 Field Drive Noblesville, IN 46060 July 27, 2009 To Whom It May Concern: I am sending this letter in reference to the relationship that Noblesville Schools has built with the Hamilton County Autism Support Group. Jane Grimes and the HCASG have mentored parents, provided professional development to teachers and helped to advocate for children with Autism in case conferences and throughout our special needs programs in Noblesville Schools. I personally have met with Jane Grimes to discuss the needs in our school district and she has always been more than willing to help in what ever way possible. I have always truly been impressed with the collaborative spirit of the Hamilton County Autism Support Group. This organization would be a great asset to any school district. If you need any further information please do not hesitate to contact me at (317)773-3171. Mark Booth Director o

"Through our connection with HCASG our daughter was fortunate to be able to speak at the Autism Speaks Seminar this past spring. She was able to meet others who have similar issues and to share her struggles and joys with the community. It was an interesting and enlightening event into the world of autism. She also made a very special new friend." Mark and Chris Adkins Westfield, IN Submitted By: Mark and Chris Adkins

It is a blessing to have this program at White River Christian Church and the opportunity to give the contact information to folks calling in and know they will receive a call back. Jane does an outstanding job with this program and I know the children are the ones receiving the blessings. Jane, thank you for all you do and May God continue to bless you and your efforts. My daughter and I have gained a great deal from our participating in the Girls on the Spectrum group. Since girls are the minority in the autism community, most social and camp programs have mainly male participants. Pre-adolescent and adolescent girls have particular needs in general, and girls with autism in this age group are especially at risk for developing low self-esteem and all the accompanying problems. This group strives to meet these special needs. My daughter is 10 years old and has autism. She was selected to receive social skills training with other girls her age through a grant that the group received. I have always been reluctant to pay for such services, because the groups are mostly boys, they are expensive, and you are unsure of the skill level of the other participants. HCASG solved all of those problems. The group was fantastic! My daughter gained some skills and some friends! I came away with some ideas about how to continue to foster such progress. In additio

Hamilton County Autism Support Group is an extremely valuable resource for our community. I am the director of Special Needs at our church, have taught in the public schools for 18 years and have experienced first hand the demands of servicing and providing for persons with special needs. HCASG.org provides support to families by walking alongside them through tough times. They give individuals valuable resources to help them on their journey. Not only do they provide for special needs individuals, but they also have services for the family and siblings. I am so thankful to have a program I can confidently refer families to knowing they will be taken care of professionally and lovingly. Thank you Hamilton County Autism Group for all you do. We have a 24 year old son with Autism. After relocating here three years ago, our family found the H.C.A.S.G. and began to attend the monthly meetings and other events. They gave us a way to immediately connect with other families, learn from their experiences, and share ours. Further, through the H.C.A.S.G. we quickly found the other resources available to us that would have taken us months without their help. Their officers took a personal interest in our family and our 24 year old autistic son .They are always there to help. The events they have provided, especially the Annual Picnic, Race for Autism, and Voices of the Spectrum have given us the chance to meet with other families and build friendships that will last because we are all fighting for the lives of our children.
